[ Vriska will find him maybe an hour or two after the investigation, seemingly somewhat agitated. ]

[Bellamy is quiet, as he has been most of the last week. When Vriska approaches him, he just nods, then sets off, only stopping once they're a good distance away from the huts.]

[ A deep breath. ]

There is information you need to know for the trial tomorrow. I trust you more than anyone else to keep your cool and maintain a strong pokerface, so you need to know what happened last night.

Kirigiri was the Siren kill. You're probably aware Serph was the one to do it. However, I am the one who killed Shinji. I don't know who went after Alistair or why.

[jettisons]

[Oh. Well, that's something.]

Why did you kill Shinji? Speeding up the process?

[He sounds a touch bitter.]

[hypertoxic]

Not exactly. [ A bit flat. ] But thanks for the faith in my judgment.

I struck a deal with the Chiefs. In exchange for Shinji's life, I get a chance to see the volcano spirit in person. [ Drawls, very dryly: ] If you couldn't tell, my existing kills were not enough credit to get anything of significance.

[jettisons]

What was the deal exactly? What did they say?

It was what I said! I kill Shinji, a meeting might be possible to arrange. Keep in mind I'm aware it could be bullshit, but considering I just spent the last week searching the volcano from top to bottom with no success, this is probably the best chance I've got!

[ So that's what she was up to. ]

[jettisons]

I want to know what they told you exactly. When are they supposed to show you?

[He's terrified this is some sort of trick from the Chiefs.]

[hypertoxic]

[ Quirks a brow. ]

I asked if it would be possible to see the volcano spirit in person. The Chief said he could come up with something as long as I killed Shinji.

[jettisons]

That's vague. That's all he said?

[hypertoxic]

Yes.

[ gestures loosely. ]

I'm aware it's not much of a guarantee, but he wasn't going to give me one. It's still the best lead I have until I find the remaining Wickie.

[jettisons]

[Bellamy nods. He's frustrated, still torn between heartbroken and furious over Raven, and he doesn't know what advice to give her here. He doesn't know what the hell to do.]

We'll figure out the trial tomorrow, and see what they show you. I'm still holding out for a better way.

[hypertoxic]

... I know.

[ She feels Raven's loss too. More than she wants to admit. ]

Help me find the Wickie. They are the only person who knows every possible way to end the game. We could use their help, because if there is a way, they'll know it.

[jettisons]

I'll do everything I can. Let's just keep each other from dying tomorrow.

[hypertoxic]

[ Vriska will take a deep breath, because there's no point in doubting herself about it now,

and then stand up on her tiptoes to wrap her arms around Bellamy's neck. ]

We are going to get her back, Bellamy. Whatever it takes to save her.

[jettisons]

[Bellamy swallows against the sudden lump in his throat as he wraps his arms around Vriska. He's not sure if he believes that Raven is okay—she left her necklace behind, and she wouldn't have parted with that willingly. Still.]
