[week three - monday]
[ So first of all: hi Lief, wherever you are and whatever you're doing! You're not doing that thing anymore. Vriska just goes right ahead, loops her arm through his, and starts dragging him.
She will at least tell him it's important and to just shut up and come with her, so like, maybe roll with it? Sorry about her.
It takes some time, because she doesn't actually know where the girl she's searching for is, but eventually they track down Kyoko on the beach. Vriska will then drag both of them (literally in Lief's case, but figuratively in Kyoko's) to the nearest spot of shade she can find. It may be sunset, but she still doesn't like being out when it's bright. It's weird. ]
Good! I am glad I was able to get both of you. Lief, I don't think you overheard us, but Kirigiri and I were discussing something at the end of the trial! [ Flashes a grin at Kyoko. ] About getting everyone together. You remember, right?

Ah, so that's why...he's a good choice.
no subject
... I suppose you want me to gather them.

Got it in one! I knew I could count on you, Lief. I know you have connections. They'll listen to you, too! So I will be relying on you to get the word out.
[ Glances over at Kyoko again. ] We're trying to figure out who the Chiefs would have believed to be good candidates for the killer roles. That's the basic idea, right?

I wonder if any of us has enough merit with those two to learn how many killing roles there are?

[...]
Someone else and I have also briefly discussed the incentive behind the role—or specifically, what will happen if we discover all of them. One possibility they brought up was that those in the killing role seek a role that plays an even worse part, and that they must kill them.
Of course, that is mere conjecture, and we have no reason to believe that anything like that is, in fact, the case.

I made good choices with the both of you. Anyway! I agree with Kirigiri. I think it's absolutely possible the Chiefs made their choices based just on what they'd find funniest, and we need to factor that into our thinking. As far as merit goes, no clue! Maybe someone who's worked hard in the trials might be able to get something out of them. Lastly, that's not a bad idea, Lief. It's something to consider. I was discussing with someone just yesterday the possibility of there being at least three killing roles. It's a place to start! If we all put our heads together outside of a trial, we might actually get somewhere.

[ however: ]
Even so, whatever the incentive, it isn't in our best interests to allow them free rein. I assume that already there are splinter factions of those who are allies...and in those factions, probably those with roles exist, good or ill. It's all about trust and mistrust...and what information we can glean from how others comport themselves in trials and out of them.
no subject
Indeed. Even if, for whatever reason, we must spare them, we must at least learn the identities of those with harmful roles.
Unfortunately, these trials have demonstrated that as a group, we cannot work together. We have too many differences in opinion, it seems, and a certain unwillingness to reconcile them.

Keep in mind trials are high-pressure, intensely emotional situations! I wouldn't really count on people to be at their most rational during trials. [ a beat. ] You know, as we obviously saw the other day. [ good job austria. ]
That is why I want to do this! Working and talking without time constraints and emotions running high may help us actually get results! Plus, [ nods at Kyoko ] she's got a point. Let's see how everyone acts in a group discussion without an axe hanging over their heads! We might pick up on some interesting changes.

[ but she had SOME character development. SOME. ]
...but simply acting on my own won't help if no one will listen to anything I learn later.
no subject
I think we should still have this talk, certainly, but it is something to keep in mind going in.
no subject
Yeah, I know. Inevitably there will be bitching and moaning about whatever the fuck. We will have to deal with that when it comes. I'd rather make sure everybody, even the argumentative ones, can come! If we shut anybody out, we risk creating even more paranoia around here! So we will just have to figure it out.
[ Lief will also get a nod for his concern. ]
If we play our cards right, we may be able to spin that to our advantage! All three of us should be closely watching everyone's behavior. Kirigiri, I'll trust that job to you especially. If we start noticing anybody acting cagey, we can keep an eye on them!
[ Vriska smiles at them both. ]
If you're both on board, we should get started right away! We definitely need to have this fun little group chat before Thursday evening.

[ she's literally not pretending that deaths won't continue to happen... ]
I'll give you my observations after the meeting, such as they may be.
no subject
I can start talking to everyone now, if you wish.
